Scenic Hudson Valley Hiking

Exceptional Hiking Year-Round

Overnight guests at Mohonk Mountain House have unlimited access to over 85 miles of upstate New York hiking trails throughout the year. Winding their way through thousands of pristine acres, these hiking trails offer stunning views of Lake Mohonk, Sky Top Tower, the Catskill Mountains and more. Guests can take guided hikes, participate in a walk with our naturalist, or even order a backpack picnic for longer hikes. Enjoyable in every season, our Hudson Valley hikes are great for the entire family. We encourage everyone to take time during their stay to explore the beautiful grounds surrounding Mohonk Mountain House.

Hiking

Generations of guests have discovered the miles of well-marked trails honeycombing the Mohonk woodlands. Step into thousands of acres of land untouched by time – secluded trails, enchanting forests, and impressive mountains. The Shawangunk region was awarded the distinction of being named “one of Earth’s ‘Last Great Places’” by the Nature Conservancy, for good reason.

Guests can enjoy various levels of Hudson Valley hiking, ranging from beginners strolls around the lake to more advanced paths along the cliffs. View our hiking map to plan your route.
